You
drive on old Bedouin tracks and go roller coasting over virgin
sand dunes, through the impressive canyons on tracks over the
mountains. Visit oasis and regions which are unknown even to some
of the local residents.
You
are experiencing with your own 4WD the beauty of the dunes and
mountains. You are professionally guided by a Swiss tourleader
(in his own vehicle) who is a resident in the Sultanate of Oman
for many years, and therefore you have the security which is needed
specially in the desert. For 'non motorists' the possibility exists
to join the car of the tourleader.

Arrival
1st
Day
Collect your 4x4 vehicle, briefing-information about the
adventure, we drive to Nakhl- a historically interesting
oasis with a majestic castle and hot springs. On a breathtaking
track we climb on a height of almost 2500 m.a.s. over the
Jebel Akthar.Continuing through the Wadi Guhl on gravel
roads. Enjoy then the magnificent sunset and a BBQ over
the open fire. Overnight in the open ( Tent, sleeping bag
).

2nd
Day
See Nizwa- once the capital of Oman. From here again off
road to Manah and on to Sinaw, and now into the sheer endless
vastness of the Wahiba sands. Now one of the highlights
will be the dune roller coaster ride through the red sand
dunes. Even on occasion the possibility of a ride on camel.
Enjoy and experience, flora and fauna, and the breathtaking
sunset, the endless silence and an impressive starry sky.
BBQ cooked over the open fire. Overnight in the open ( Tent,
sleeping bag ).

3
rd Day
Today we have a lot of dunes on our program. We are crossing
the Wahiba desert from North to South along old Bedouin
tracks. The Wahiba Sands, a vast mass of undulating red
and white sea of sand dunes rising up to 200 meters - until
we are reaching the Indian Ocean. A truly unforgettable
and satisfying feeling - you have concurred the endless
desert. An experience of an exceptional kind. BBQ cooked
over the open fire. We drive along the coast to the most
eastern point of the Arabian peninsula,Ras al Junayz the
maritime research and protection ground for the nearly extinct
green sea turtle.You can experience a unique and once in
your lifetime natural spectacle, witness the egg laying
of the adult turtles and in the early morning hours the
hedging of the baby turtles. BBQ cooked over the open fire.

4th
Day
Today we drive to Sur, passing the sophisticated and top
modern LNG (Liquefied natural gas ) plant through the sanctuary
of the Arabian gazelles. On gravel road we are passing the
most beautiful huge wadis with tropical vegetation. Our
way leads along the deep blue Ocean and coast line to Quriyat
and from here along the slopes of Jebel Abu Daud to Muscat.
We are returning our 4x4 vehicles.

Included
All excursions and visits, camping equipment and sleeping bag,
two meals a day (Breakfast & dinner) during the tour - camping,
4 WD vehicle. Insurance, all transfers and guide.
Specialities
During the tour it is expected that the participants are active
in helping on all occurring tasks like tent setting as well as
preparation works for cooking. During the tour we will do the
shopping. On days in the Privat Villa / Hotel where breakfast
is included, lunch and dinner can also be ordered. Program and
routing can change without notice.

for your vehicle, additional meals, drinks and personal expenses.
